Job description

The MU Production Scheduler is responsible for creating a detailed schedule plan based on the planned orders provided weekly by the MU Supply Planner (non-principal) or the Regional Supply Planner (principal).

The MU Production Scheduler is part of the Operations function, which ensures the integration of key business processes from suppliers to customers. This includes sourcing, procurement, manufacturing, supply chain management (warehousing, logistics, and distribution), and planning. The goal is to align demand and supply globally, considering efficiency, flexibility, security, costs, working capital, quality, service levels, and societal values.

Responsibilities / Key Activities :

  • Create a detailed daily production plan from weekly planned orders, minimizing change-over times while maintaining volumes per SKU as provided. Communicate deviations to the Supply Planner.
  • Update scheduled orders in case of stockouts, following instructions from the Supply Planner.
  • Execute scheduling activities according to the weekly planning cycle.
  • Follow up daily with the production department and align plans weekly.
  • Report and address unexpected events like material shortages, machine breakdowns, or quality issues, informing the Supply Planner and coordinating with the factory.
  • Run daily reports on overdue production orders and coordinate their closure.
  • Collect and provide data for production adherence KPIs, analyze deviations, and initiate improvement initiatives.
  • Set up master data for new products, including routings and Bill of Materials, and provide MRP settings. For principal factories, approve minimum order quantities and production frequency.
  • If a principal factory, hold bi-weekly meetings with production and maintenance to gather available hours and report to the Regional Supply Planner.

Qualifications include :

  • Diploma / Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or related field.
  • At least 2 years of professional experience, preferably in manufacturing or FMCG.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and knowledge of Document Management Systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Structured, driven, energetic, and capable of working independently or in a team.
