Enterprise Support (Penang / KL)
Responsibilities
- Responsible to support & troubleshoot VMware Virtualization, Veeam Backup, Microsoft Windows Server, Linux OS, Hyper-converged Infrastructure and Hardware environment.
- Responsible for Incident and Problem management as well as to provide RCA Report.
- Perform Disaster recovery using Veeam failback and failover.
- Technical Account Engineer for several accounts.
- Determining business needs and evaluating existing network infrastructure and systems.
- Optimizing network hardware and software to enable VMware integration.
- Developing and deploying customized VMware solutions.
- Installing operating systems and service packs, as well as security patches and bug fixes.
- Troubleshooting and resolving VMware environment issues.
- Keeping informed of developments in VMware technologies and products.
- Providing technical support and documenting VMware processes.
- Resolve customer’s issues via the telephone, email or remote session
- Regular follow ups with customers with recommendations, updates and action plans.
- Create new knowledge base articles to capture new learning’s for reuse throughout the organization.
- Participate in technical communications within the Technical Support Team to share best practices and learn about new technologies.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, computer programming, or similar.VMWare Certified Professional (VCP) preferred.At least 2-3 years' experience in the provision of high level support, maintenance and design for Virtual Platforms for hosted applications and services in the ESX Server environment.Minimum 2-3 years of experience administering VMware vSphere 6.7 / 7 environments using vCloud, vCenter and vSphere clients.Minimum 2-3 years of experience using vSphere PowerCLI to perform tasks such as creating datastores, taking snapshots, creating VMs, health checks, etcExperience in Virtualization & Cloud computing, Linux and Windows servers will be preferred.Willingness to work in a 24 / 7 shift environment. Extensive knowledge of the fundamentals of VMware ESX and related technologies.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Exceptional analytical and technical aptitude.Great organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.Availability to resolve urgent VMware environment problems outside of business hours.Technical skills on Active Directory, SQL Clustering would be advantageous.Strong customer service orientation.Highly self-motivated and directed.
