Job description

Job Responsibilities :

1. Purchasing & Logistics Management

  • Manage end-to-end purchasing activities including sourcing, negotiation, order placement, and supplier performance tracking.
  • Coordinate and oversee all logistics processes, including inbound and outbound shipments, warehousing, and inventory control.
  • Ensure compliance with local laws and company policies related to procurement, material handling, and storage.
  • Monitor and manage supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery and cost-effective procurement.
  • Liaise with internal departments to forecast demand and align supply chain activities with operational needs.

2. Business Support Oversight

  • Lead and oversee daily business support functions for the Parts, Service, and Irrigation teams across Malaysia.
  • Develop and implement efficient workflows and administrative processes to enhance team productivity and customer satisfaction.
  • Supervise and mentor the Malaysia Business Support team, ensuring clear task delegation, coaching, and performance management.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within business support operations to strengthen cross-functional collaboration and service levels.
  • Handle escalations from customers, suppliers, or internal stakeholders with a solution-oriented and service-driven approach.
  • 3. Systems & Reporting

  • Utilize SAP and other ERP systems for procurement, logistics tracking, and business reporting.
  • Generate regular operational reports and dashboards to support decision-making and identify performance gaps.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all systems and processes.
  • 4. Compliance & Risk Management

  • Maintain full adherence to all regulatory and safety requirements related to procurement, transport, and storage of materials.
  • Conduct periodic audits and reviews to mitigate operational risks and improve process integrity.
  • Job Requirements :

  • Minimum Diploma in Business Administration or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of progressive experience in purchasing, logistics, or business support operations, with a proven track record in managing day-to-day execution and operational challenges.
  • Minimum 2–3 years in a supervisory or leadership role, with demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop a team.
  • Strong command of SAP or similar ERP systems; hands-on experience is a distinct advantage.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with the ability to present and analyze operational data effectively.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • A proactive mindset with strong problem-solving abilities and a commitment to continuous improvement.
