Head of Operations - Renewable Energy (Based in Malaysia)

We’re a growing renewable energy start-up specialising in commercial rooftop solar projects across Malaysia. As we expand, we’re looking for a driven and experienced Head of Operations to lead our operations and maintenance (O&M) function, ensuring our solar assets deliver reliable, high-quality performance.

Role Overview

This full-time leadership role oversees all operations, maintenance, and project delivery activities across our solar portfolio. You’ll be responsible for strategic planning, process improvement, team management, and client satisfaction , while ensuring operational excellence and safety standards are met.

The position offers a hybrid work arrangement (one day working from home each week) and requires periodic site visits across Peninsular Malaysia.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage overall O&M operations for commercial rooftop solar projects.
• Oversee project execution, maintenance planning, and system performance optimisation.
• Implement processes and strategies to improve efficiency and service quality.
• Manage technical teams and contractors, ensuring compliance with safety and performance standards.
• Work closely with management on budgeting, resource planning, and operational reporting.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships to support long-term partnerships.
• Support business growth through operational insights and continuous improvement.
