Job Description :

As a cost estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimations for LV switchboard projects. Your role will involve working closely with the engineering and sales teams to ensure our proposals are both technically sound and commercially viable.

Key Responsibilities :

• Study and analyze technical drawings, specifications, and project requirements
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for LV switchboard projects
• Source and evaluate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors
• Collaborate with design, production, and procurement teams to ensure accuracy in estimation
• Assist in tender submissions and client negotiations when required
• Track and update costing data to reflect current market rates
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and support value engineering efforts
• Ensure all estimates comply with relevant industry standards and regulations

Requirements :

Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline

Minimum 4–5 years of experience in cost estimation related to Low Voltage switchboards

Strong knowledge of LV systems, switchgear components, and manufacturing processes

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and estimation software; AutoCAD skills are an advantage

Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Good communication and teamwork skills

Able to read, write and communicate in mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients
