Overview

HR Business Partner Officer - MY, SG, ID at AXA Group Operations. This role supports Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia, partnering with business leaders to align HR strategies with organizational objectives, drive talent management initiatives, and foster a thriving workplace culture.

Where you will be

The division – Group Operations Transformation, accelerating AXA Group Operations success by providing simple, user-oriented services across HR Transformation, Change Management, and Communication. Our missions include anticipating future workforce needs, attracting / retaining / developing talent, creating a great place to work, and building an engaging culture through effective communication.

The department / team – HR Business Partnering team supporting the Asian Region locally (Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia), with a workforce of around 250 employees. The HRBP Partnering Team comprises Global HR Business Partners and Country HR Business Partners who manage HR topics locally.

About the job

Job purpose – Act as a strategic partner to implement HR policies and processes locally in line with business needs; manage and report Country-specific HR aspects in alignment with global HR policies. Work with the Country HRBP Lead and represent HR for social & legal matters, engaging local teams in company culture and strategic ambition.

Main missions

  • Represent the company from an HR legal & social standpoint; ensure local HR legal regulation compliance and labor relations.
  • Provide HR insights, advising and reporting to local business leaders.
  • Execute the local culture & people engagement plan.
  • Apply and coordinate global HR policies and programs locally (e.g., Smart Working / Teleworking, Benefits, Communication) in collaboration with global HR teams.
  • Implement local HR plans and cycles : workforce planning, remuneration considerations, mandatory training, reorganizations, talent segmentation.
  • Act as local HR escalation point for arbitration and complex cases under supervision of the Country HRBP Lead.
  • Update and maintain HR policies for Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia and support communication to relevant audiences.
  • Organize HR townhalls and prepare content with the HRBP Lead.
  • Contribute to local HR projects (e.g., HR vendors management).
  • Support GOT Asia monthly meetings, audits and mitigation plans.

Experience

  • Minimum 6-8 years of HR generalist experience in an international environment.
  • Technical skills

  • Excellent knowledge of Malaysian labour law and practices.
  • Understanding of HR operating model in an international company; able to work with centers of expertise and local / global teams.
  • Ability to synthesize complex HR cases.
  • Knowledge of the Tech sector is a plus.
  • Active listening with the business; influencing / stakeholder management.
  • Autonomous and results-driven.
