Job description

We are seeking a strategic and dynamic Business Development Manager to conduct our corporate sales efforts in the event industry. This role is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, nurturing key client relationships, and driving revenue growth through tailored event solutions for corporate clients. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with proven sales experience and a deep understanding of corporate event needs.

Responsibilities

Strategic Business Development

  • Identify and pursue new corporate clients and markets to expand the company's event portfolio.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve business growth and revenue targets.
  • Build a strong sales pipeline through networking, referrals, and industry outreach.

Client Relationship Management

  • Establish and maintain long-term relationships with corporate decision-makers.
  • Understand client objectives and provide tailored event solutions to meet their business goals.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, offering strategic insights and creative event recommendations.
  • Proposal Development & Presentations

  • Lead the development of compelling proposals and pitches in collaboration with the creative and planning teams.
  • Deliver impactful presentations to key stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Negotiate terms and close deals while ensuring a win-win outcome for both parties.
  • Market Insight & Positioning

  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to stay ahead.
  • Identify opportunities for product / service innovation to enhance competitiveness.
  • Collaboration

  • Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., event planning, creative, operations) to ensure smooth project transition post-sale.
  • Reporting & Performance Tracking

  • Maintain detailed records of leads, proposals, sales performance, and client feedback using CRM tools.
  • Provide regular sales forecasts and business reports to management.
  • Requirements

  • Education : Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Event Management, or a related field.
  • Experience :
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business development or B2B corporate sales, preferably in the event or marketing industry.
  • Proven track record in achieving sales targets and closing high-value deals.
  • Skills :
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong understanding of corporate client needs and event planning dynamics.
  • Strategic thinking with strong business acumen.
  • Ability to lead client discussions with confidence and professionalism.
  • Proficient in CRM systems and basic budgeting.
  • Other Requirements :

  • Must possess own transport (car) for client meetings and business travel.
  • Willing to work flexible hours when needed for meetings, events, or networking opportunities.
