Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Business Development Manager, based in WP Kuala Lumpur, with some work-from-home flexibility. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying business opportunities, developing strategies to capture new markets, and building long-term relationships with key stakeholders. Day-to-day tasks include market research, business planning, negotiating deals, and ensuring client satisfaction. The role also involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of business development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Sales and Business Development

  • Identifying and prospecting potential clients in various industries who could benefit from e-procurement and e-invoicing solutions.
  • Conducting product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the features and benefits of e-procurement and e-invoicing platforms.
  • Developing and maintaining a strong sales pipeline to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Negotiating contracts and closing sales deals with clients.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients to foster customer loyalty and drive repeat business.

Product Knowledge and Expertise

  • Developing a deep understanding of e-procurement and e-invoicing systems, including their functionalities, benefits, and integration capabilities.
  • Staying up to date on the latest trends and developments in the e-procurement and e-invoicing landscape.
  • Communicating effectively about the technical aspects of the solutions to clients.
  • Client Relationship Management

  • Providing ongoing support and guidance to clients throughout the sales process and after implementation.
  • Addressing client inquiries and concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Collaborating with internal teams (e.g., technical support, customer service) to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Skills and Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Eagerness to learn and build a career in tech sales.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills — in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • A friendly, professional attitude with a proactive approach to work.
  • Bonus Points (Not Required)

  • Familiarity with e-procurement or e-invoicing platforms.
  • Exposure to ERP systems like Oracle, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Knowledge of Malaysia’s e-invoicing regulations by LHDN (we’ll help you learn this too).
