A Brief Overview
The Accounting Analyst is mainly responsible to support the treasury operations and the month-end expense cycle. The role prepares the monthly bank reconciliation reports and other management reports to support the team in month-end closing.
Responsibilities
- Support the treasury operations and co‑ordinate with Global Treasury functions which including but not limited to : handle the payment processing, ensuring timely and accurate execution of payments; prepare the monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies; maintain accurate records of all treasury transactions and ensure proper documentation.
- Support the month‑end closing on expense cycle; track and analyze company expenses to ensure they are within budget; identify cost‑saving opportunities and implement measures to control spending; support the FP&A in the expense cycle.
- Support the audit process by preparing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries. Prepare the monthly reconciliation files. Ensure timely and accurate reporting to local management.
- Work with other functional areas to achieve efficient and effective accounting practices and procedures and respond to and requests from other functional areas on various inquiries.
- Participate in the development and implementation of process improvements that may extend beyond the area of oversight. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Arts / Sciences (BA / BS) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.2 years + accounting, auditing, actuarial, or insurance administration experience with GAAP reporting and general ledger application experience.PeopleSoft or other accounting software applications experience.Progress towards CPA.General business knowledge.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and organization skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a collaborative and proactive approach to problem‑solving.What you can expect from RGA
