Job Summary
We are seeking skilled L2 Data Infrastructure Support Engineers to ensure the reliable transfer of industrial data from customer sites to our iCenter. You will monitor end-to-end data flows, resolve connectivity and infrastructure issues, and support diagnostic engineers with timely access to rotating equipment data (e.g., gas turbines, compressors, generators).
This role is part of a long-term service contract with a key player in Industrial Energy Technology, offering the chance to work in a dynamic, fast-growing global team that supports a worldwide fleet of industrial assets.
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure Support
- Track, manage and resolve tickets (via ServiceNow) for incidents, changes, and infrastructure issues.
Troubleshoot issues across :
Data transfer pipelines and acquisition delays (e.g., Triplog missing, frozen data, NoN, missing data).
OSM (On-Site Monitor) server fleet (remote monitoring and resolution).iCenter infrastructure (Historian servers, archives, collectors, configuration, and related tools).iCenter legacy platforms including databases (Oracle DB), web services, and virtual environments (Citrix servers, Jump servers, Synchronizer Tool).Execute WSUS and antivirus patching campaigns.Edge Device Configuration & Maintenance
Pre-configure and harden monitoring devices (e.g., OSMs / IIoT gateways) and industrial firewalls (OpShield, OTFuse, Data Diode).Install and configure data acquisition software (ControlST, IGS, Micronet, Matrikon) and interfaces (e.g., OSI-PI).Set up and configure Proficy Historian and Triplog Agent.Perform firmware upgrades, vulnerability remediation, and patch management (OS, WSUS, antivirus).Support OSM signal tag pre-mapping and mapping activities.Troubleshoot hardware / software issues and validate data acquisition quality.Conduct data retrieval, bandwidth measurement, and resource utilization checks.Communication & Stakeholder Support
Provide timely updates to users and stakeholders on critical or high-priority incidents, including current status and resolution path.Security & Compliance
Implement and monitor patch management for OS, industrial software, and virtual environments.Enforce cybersecurity protocols, including access controls, threat remediation, and vulnerability management.Qualifications & Experience
Required :
Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.3+ years in L2 technical support, preferably in environments involving industrial data systems, IT / OT infrastructure, or remote monitoring platformsStrong knowledge of :
End-to-end industrial data transfer and acquisition — including collecting, processing, and securely transmitting data to central platforms
Working with PLCs, DCS / HMIs, and sensors to enable reliable operational data streaming.o Experience with ControlST, IGS, Micronet, Matrikon.
Networking (VLANs, VPNs, firewall rules).Industrial protocols (OPC, Modbus).
Hands-on experience with :
ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems.
Edge devices (OSM / IIoT gateways).Oracle DB, Citrix, Jump servers.Monitoring tools.Nice-to-Have :
