Actuarial Manager
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Actuarial Manager to join our client and play a key role in driving actuarial strategy, pricing, and risk management initiatives within the organization. This role will oversee actuarial deliverables across valuation, product development, and capital management while partnering closely with finance, risk, and business teams to support sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead actuarial functions across valuation, pricing, and experience studies to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Oversee embedded value, capital, and reserve calculations in accordance with regulatory and group standards.
- Provide actuarial input for product design, reinsurance, and risk management strategies.
- Review and enhance actuarial models, methodologies, and assumptions for improved governance and efficiency.
- Prepare actuarial reports and insights for senior management, regulators, and auditors.
- Mentor and develop a team of actuarial analysts, ensuring strong professional and technical growth.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Risk, and Product teams to support strategic decision‑making.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.Fully qualified or close to qualification with a recognized actuarial body (IFoA, SOA, CAS, or equivalent).Minimum 8–10 years of actuarial experience, ideally within life or general insurance.Strong technical knowledge in actuarial modeling, valuation, and regulatory reporting (IFRS 17 experience is an advantage).Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Proven leadership ability with experience managing or mentoring actuarial staff.Location
