Job description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Responsible for sourcing and procurement of tooling, chemical and Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MRO) supplies

RESPONSIBILITIES

1.Procurement & sourcing

  • Identify, evaluate and select suppliers for Indirect Purchases.
  • Issue Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.

2.Procurement Operations & Supply Chain Management

  • Issue RFQs, analyze supplier quotations and negotiate pricing
  • Prepare monthly Procurement Report

    • 3.Cost Optimization

  • Implement cost-reduction strategies through supplier consolidation, alternate sourcing  and value engineering.

    • 4.Supplier & Compliance Management

  • Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, delivery and cost-effectiveness
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Production and Maintenance) to ensure procurement aligns with operational needs.

    • 5. Any adhoc duty assigned

    REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of working experience in procurement or supply chain, preferably handling indirect materials or services.
  • Experience in vendor management, contract negotiation, and sourcing strategies.
  • Good understanding of procurement processes and systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to multitask and work under tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia (both spoken and written); Mandarin is an added advantage for dealing with China suppliers.
