Overview
We are seeking a Head of Technology & Systems to architect and lead the next stage of our digital backbone. This is a senior management role reporting directly to the CEO, with a mandate to transform technology from a support function into a strategic growth driver. The role is not only about managing systems, but about enabling business expansion, omni-channel integration, AI adoption, and future SaaS opportunities .
Responsibilities
- Technology Strategy & Roadmap — Design and own the 3-year technology roadmap aligned with business priorities (retail & e-commerce); drive projects that enable omni-channel integration, scalability across new markets, AI adoption, and potential SaaS productization; translate CEO’s vision into structured execution plans.
- Systems & Integration Leadership — Oversee all critical platforms : in-house POSM / CRM / WMS / Commission / Appointment systems, as well as external SaaS (Shopify, respond.io, HR / payroll, accounting, marketing tools, collaboration tools); ensure integration, security, and reliability across all systems; establish RACI and ownership for each system and process.
- Project & Team Orchestration — Lead and mentor the internal IT team (Project Managers, Data Manager, Architecture Manager, QA Testers) and manage external developers / agencies; implement project governance : milestones, reporting, accountability, and performance; build future capabilities (Systems Integration Lead, in-house Dev squad, Data / BI).
- Data & Intelligence — Work with the Data Manager to develop real-time dashboards, AI forecasting, and BI tools that improve decision-making across the business; champion a data-driven culture within the organization.
- Business Partnership — Act as the bridge between business and technology, ensuring tech projects are aligned with operational, financial, and customer experience goals; partner with Operations, Finance, Marketing, HR, and Retail teams to design scalable solutions.
- Key Outcomes (12–18 months) — Fully integrated core systems (POS, CRM, WMS, HR / payroll, Finance); clear ownership and governance framework for all IT systems; 3-year tech roadmap delivered and in execution; business dashboards live with AI-driven insights embedded; foundation laid for SaaS productization of in-house system.
Candidate Profile
Experience :
8–12+ years in IT / technology leadership (Head of IT, Systems Architect, IT Director, or equivalent).Proven track record in system integration, ERP / CRM / WMS, and leading cross-functional tech projects.Exposure to omni-channel retail / e-commerce environments is a strong plus.Familiar with AI, automation, and SaaS product design.Skills & Competencies :
Strategic thinker with ability to translate business goals into technology roadmaps.Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, system design, and integration.Hands-on project governance skills (PMP / Agile / Scrum background is a plus).Data literacy : able to champion BI / AI use cases.People leadership : proven ability to lead hybrid teams (in-house + vendors).Character :
