Managing Consultant, Advisors & Consulting Services, Performance Analytics / Senior Data Scientist – Mastercard, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Services within Mastercard are responsible for acquiring, engaging, and retaining customers by managing fraud and risk, enhancing cybersecurity, and improving the digital payments experience. The Advisors & Consulting Services group combines traditional management consulting with Mastercard’s data assets, proprietary platforms, and technologies to provide clients with strategic insights and recommendations. Our teams work with a diverse global customer base across industries, from banking and payments to retail and restaurants. The Performance Analytics specialization translates data into insights to design, implement, and scale analytical solutions for customers. Responsibilities

Lead client engagements across a range of industries and problem statements. Develop analytics strategies and programs for large, regional, and global clients by leveraging data and technology solutions to unlock client value. Own key relationships with mid-level to senior client stakeholders and independently assess client agenda, internal culture, and change readiness. Lead a team to generate creative insights and sound business recommendations, and deliver impactful client presentations while developing team members’ skills. Provide analytical and day-to-day project delivery leadership, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment for all levels. Collaborate with Mastercard stakeholders including Product and Business Development to scope projects, create solutions, and build firm intellectual capital. Provide on-the-job training, coaching, and mentorship to junior consultants. Qualifications

Undergraduate degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Economics). Hands-on experience delivering Data Science / Analytics projects (e.g., Machine Learning, Clustering, Data Analysis, Business Intelligence). Experience coaching, leading, and managing technical teams across multiple projects. Experience managing key client relationships. Knowledge of business KPIs, financials, and organizational leadership. Ability to identify new business development opportunities and draft proposals and scoping. Analytical, interpretive, and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze large data sets and synthesize key findings. Experience with data analytics software (e.g., Python, R, SQL, SAS) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). Experience building and maintaining database structures to support analysis. Advanced Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills; ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication in English and the local office language (as applicable). Eligibility to work in the country of application and to travel as required. Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Hadoop ecosystem (Impala, Hive, PySpark) and related tools. Experience generating new knowledge or innovative solutions for a firm. Relevant industry expertise. Working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and GenAI models. Master’s degree with specialization in advanced analytics, big data, or statistics.
