Medical Sales Representative (Kuala Lumpur / Selangor)

Seek out, engage & provide solutions to Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) KOLs & healthcare professionals in overall pre / post sales services and key marketing activities execution to meet set targets and growth for sales revenue, customer acquisition & customer retention within a defined geographic territory.

Key Accountabilities

  • Strategize and execute Sales and Marketing led activities for FSBU Principal Brands to ensure that the Company’s and individual sales target are achieved & maximized.
  • Build & retain loyal customer base by maintaining positive working relationships, build value‑added partnerships and by providing great customer service experience.
  • Deliver Continuous Medical Education (CME), product presentations, detailing and demo to the healthcare professionals (Embryologists, lab personnel, Fertility Specialist, Nurses, etc) to ensure customers have a thorough understanding of the FSBU product portfolio.
  • Conduct periodic market and competitor research / surveys to ensure that FSBU is keeping up with developments and opportunities in the market by being one step ahead of competitors.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities for the FSBU to ensure that the Company has a consistent business revenue generation.
  • Meticulously handle customer orders according to internal order processes, avoid errors with negative impact to sales revenue & follow through until successful delivery status.
  • Plan and manage weekly work schedule with Sales Manager to agree on call plan, customer visit objectives, optimize customer coverage through the company’s CRM ecosystem.
  • Regularly attend company meetings, internal briefings, weekly work preview, etc to ensure being up to date on information & developments regarding the Company & FSBU.
  • Attend trainings to continuously upgrade & upskill relevant competencies.
  • Be a collaborative team member by contributing towards team targets and stepping up to cover vacant areas (if necessary).
  • Prepare relevant reports & presentations on a periodic basis.
  • Ensure compliance with Company policies and local industry’s code of conduct to ensure that the Company conducts business with integrity. Personally act ethically and with integrity.

Key Account Management

  • Build a broad network of contacts and advocates within a given standalone or group account. From Management to end‑user level (HCPs), inclusive of supporting functions eg Owner, HOD, Finance, Procurement, Engineering, Operations, IT, Tender dept etc.
  • Understand both the business and clinical goals of each account.
  • Propose plans for key accounts based on their current needs and expansionary objectives.
  • Keep FSBU updated on developments in key accounts and quickly alert / escalate should issues arise which requires mitigation or solution.
  • Deliver on targets for both Media, Disposable devices and Equipments.
  • Customer Service

  • Ensure information is up to date by attending Company meetings, presentations & briefings.
  • Respond to client needs and complaints regarding products and services in a timely and professional manner.
  • Follow‑up on issues and queries until they are resolved by collaborating with relevant supporting departments.
  • Identify internal & external issues that prevent ep+ from adequately meeting customer needs.
  • Participate in finding sustainable solutions to the issues.
  • Knowledge, Experience & Skills

    Knowledge

  • Bachelor degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Biology, Science, Biomed or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of Sales experience, preferably in life sciences, healthcare or medical device industry.
  • Customer‑centric with a strong service mindset
  • Outcome‑oriented
  • Meticulous, pay attention to details
  • Able to work independently
  • Able to identify the right target audience and present information clearly, effectively
  • Fluent in spoken & written English. Mandarin a plus
  • Persuasive manner and able to build rapport with healthcare professionals who hold differing opinions

  • Has excellent interpersonal skills to work with people at all levels (Communication / Customer Service Orientation).
  • Persuasive manner and the ability to deal with professionals who hold differing beliefs, values, business positions (Business Acumen / Customer Service Orientation).
