Job Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Backend Equipment Technician perform electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning equipment used in Backend Process.
- Perform electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning equipment used in backend Process.
- Provides Manufacturing and Equipment support needs in a rapidly changing development and high volume manufacturing environment.
- Dismantles, adjusts, repairs, and assembles equipment according to schematics, repair manuals, or specifications.
- Performs preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting diagnosis on production equipment.
- Resolves non-standard problems, works with minimal supervision, and can adjust to rapidly changing priorities.
- Must be a self-starter capable of managing own activities as well as supporting team activities.
- Works with Engineering to support new equipment installations and improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
REQUIRED :
Certificate / Diploma in Mechanical / Electronics / MechatronicsPREFERRED :
Proficient at troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and PC software / hardware related issuesAbility to use schematics, hand tools, electrical gauges and common test equipment for calibration, diagnosis and repair of equipmentAbility to understand PLC systemAbility to use vision system will be an added advantageHigh level attention to detail with methodical approach to troubleshooting and project managementProvide leadership to other technicians through training and mentorshipDrive solutions and guidelines by recommending and writing maintenance proceduresUtilize diagnostic equipment to monitor equipment performance, diagnose root cause, and drive factory improvement initiativesKnowledge of Auto VMI, Auto Labeling and Auto Packing equipment / process would be an added advantageSKILLS :
Excellent verbal / written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with peers, engineering, and managersSelf-motivator; ability to work independently under general guidance and directionAdditional Information
