The Work You’ll Do
As a Senior Tax Technology Manager – APAC , you’ll play a critical role in supporting Sovos' go-to-market organization by engaging with customers and partners, helping to understand and define their needs, and designing tailored solutions involving business network integrations and data flow management. You’ll bring deep knowledge of indirect tax, business network and e-invoicing standards, data flows, and integration technologies, along with excellent communication skills to effectively support our sales, alliances, and sales engineering teams in a customer-facing capacity.
More Specifically, You Will
- Provide domain expertise relating to the flow of data and exchange of business documents through eInvoicing and VAT reporting solutions across leading enterprise software systems and applications used by Sovos customers, including SAP S / 4 HANA and Oracle Cloud
- Maintain deep knowledge of AP / purchasing and AR / order-to-cash solution processes and the associated vendor ecosystem
- Develop and maintain expert-level knowledge of Sovos eInvoicing and VAT reporting solutions, with focus on integration requirements across evolving global compliance mandates
- Lead client discovery processes to uncover challenges and ensure the proper Sovos data integration offering is proposed across disparate enterprise software systems and applications
- Lead and participate in technical discussions, providing expert guidance on integration best practices and strategies
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into functional and technical specifications
- Create and maintain detailed architecture documentation, including system diagrams, data flow diagrams, and integration workflows
- Work closely with the VP of APAC Sales and other global teams to evangelize and present Sovos solutions as part of customers' ERP and finance transformation projects
- Ensure Sovos technical integration options align with customers' functional business processes and global compliance requirements
- Assist in creating compelling RFP and RFI responses for global Fortune 1000 pursuits
- Lead the creation of SRD and SDI materials to support proper scoping and deployment of Sovos eInvoicing and Compliance Network solutions across a global customer base
- Work closely with Sovos Professional Services or external implementation partner teams to ensure seamless handoff from sales execution to successful client onboarding
- Maintain and continually improve industry knowledge and technical capabilities through internal sales training, external partner engagement, customer presentation preparation, and customer-facing POCs
- Mentor and provide technical leadership to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development
- Interact with partners to showcase the value of Sovos solutions and enable them on technical aspects of our offerings to demonstrate business value
What We Need From You
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus5+ years of experience in solution architecture and software integration, with a focus on SAP or Oracle; Big 4 experience preferredExtensive knowledge of eInvoicing standards and frameworks (e.g., PEPPOL, UBL), VAT compliance requirements across different jurisdictions, and EDI standards (e.g., X12, EDIFACT) and protocols (e.g., AS2, FTP, SFTP)Ideally, experience working with a multinational enterprise's EDI or business process automation systemsFluency in English; ability to speak Mandarin and / or Japanese is a plusStrong understanding of data integration technologies, middleware solutions, and data mapping toolsExperience presenting and selling to executive-level prospects, partners, and clients; excellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work under pressure in a dynamic, rapidly changing environmentAbility to work both independently and take initiative while also being a strong team collaboratorStrong project management skills including follow-through and ability to see projects to completion without significant oversightAbility to take a concept, internalize it, rally others around it, drive its implementation, and identify ways to continuously improve itDue to client contractual obligations, the successful candidate will be asked to clear a background check upon hireWhat Does Sovos Offer You?
