This role is responsible for conducting preventive and corrective maintenance, diagnosing electrical faults, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all electrical systems, machines, and control panels on-site. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge in industrial electrical systems, automation, and compliance with Suruhanjaya Tenaga and company safety standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on electrical equipment including motors, control panels, lighting systems, and power distribution.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical faults in machinery, control systems (PLC, sensors), and wiring.
- Conduct installation and commissioning of electrical components, panels, and machinery based on technical drawings.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout plans.
- Support the automation and instrumentation team with wiring, signal testing, and basic programming support (if applicable).
- Monitor and ensure the functionality of electrical safety systems, such as circuit breakers, fuses, ELCBs, and grounding.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, service reports, and checklists for all electrical repairs and inspections.
- Adhere strictly to electrical safety protocols, LOTO procedures, and PPE usage at all times.
- Assist in emergency breakdowns, including on-call support during weekends or night shifts when necessary.
- Report and escalate complex issues to engineers or external contractors if needed.
- Collaborate with the mechanical team during major overhauls or shutdowns.
