Overview

Milliman is seeking a senior consultant to join our life insurance actuarial consulting team in Kuala Lumpur. The candidate can expect to be involved in mergers & acquisitions, risk management, and business / product strategy work in addition to traditional actuarial work. This role will involve exposure to work in Malaysia and other markets around the region and may involve international travel from time to time.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to mergers & acquisitions, risk management, and business / product strategy engagements in addition to traditional actuarial work.
  • Engage with work in Malaysia and other markets in the region, with potential international travel as required.

Qualifications

  • 10–15 years of work experience as a qualified actuary in a well-regarded life insurer, reinsurer, or consultancy.
  • Experience in leading or managing teams and / or projects.
  • Exposure to modelling related work / projects (ideally using Prophet), financial reporting, and insurance regulation.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Well-presented and able to contribute to a pleasant and friendly working environment.
