Overview

Azure Data Engineer role at Avanade in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Focus on designing and building modern data pipelines, data streams, and reporting tools to enable insightful decision-making for Avanade clients.

Responsibilities

  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions and analyse current practices to identify opportunities.
  • Design and build data pipelines, data streams, and data service APIs.
  • Develop and maintain data warehouse schematics and architectures.
  • Expose data to end users via modern visualization platforms.
  • Implement effective metrics and monitoring processes.
  • Collaborate with teams, including remote colleagues; travel as needed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years hands-on experience in Data Engineering.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure Databricks, Azure SQL.
  • Ability to translate business use cases and requirements into technical solutions.
  • Experience with data profiling, cataloging, and mapping for technical design.
  • Experience preparing data for Data Science and Machine Learning.
  • Strong teamwork and experience working with remote teams.
  • Experience with Git / TFS / VSTS is a must.
