About the Role :
Our client is expanding their sales retail presence in Kuala Lumpur and seeking a Sales Lead to spearhead this growth. This position will oversee the entire sales operation in Malaysia — from strategic planning and team development to execution and performance delivery. The role encompasses leadership of key retail channels, including distributors, operators, retail partners, and branded retail stores.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement the Malaysia sales strategy across all physical retail and key account formats
- Build, lead, and develop the Malaysia retail sales organization, including recruitment, training, and performance management
- Oversee day-to-day sales operations to ensure smooth execution and target achievement
- Manage key account partnerships and negotiate commercial agreements
- Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, operations, and global teams to ensure consistent brand execution
- Lead retail P&L management, including revenue growth, profitability, and key operational KPIs
- Drive retail expansion plans aligned with the broader market growth strategy
- Oversee in-store experience, visual merchandising, and staff training to maintain brand consistency
- Leverage data and insights to continuously optimize retail performance and enhance the consumer experience
Qualifications :
Minimum of eight years’ experience in sales team management experience, preferably within the smartphone or consumer electronics sectorIn-depth understanding of Malaysia’s retail landscape and consumer behaviorProven track record in building and leading high-performing sales teamExperience managing both direct retail operations and partner / distributor channelsStrong commercial acumen and negotiation skillsDemonstrated operational management expertise, including full P&L accountabilityHighly collaborative, with experience working in cross-functional and global environmentsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial settingHow To Apply?
