JOB PURPOSE

To assist the People Development Manager in delivering tailored training programs focused on leadership, management, business, personal development, and best practices—primarily aimed at enhancing the skills of store-level employees.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in designing and implementing learning strategies and programs, incorporating microlearning modules for quick, focused skill acquisition.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, third parties, and ministries on training initiatives, leveraging AI-driven personalization to tailor learning paths.
  • Develop and conduct training content and materials, integrating gamification elements to enhance engagement and retention.
  • Support various learning methods (e.g., coaching, job-shadowing, online training) and promote social learning through peer collaboration platforms.
  • Organize e-learning, workshops, and other training formats, ensuring accessibility and interactivity across digital devices.
  • Monitor training effectiveness and employee engagement using data analytics and feedback tools to continuously improve learning outcomes.
  • Travel locally and to outstations as needed to support training delivery and assess on-ground learning impact.
  • Supervise junior staff and manage workflow and productivity, encouraging continuous learning through bite-sized content and digital badges.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in HR, Training & Development, etc.
  • Min 3 years of experience in Learning & Development or other training roles.
  • Proficient in Bahasa Malaysia & English (Cantonese would be an advantage).
  • Strong presentation, curriculum planning, and negotiation skills.
  • Required experience in retail operations or fast food or quick service restaurants.
  • Familiarity with e-learning platforms, LMS, and project management.
  • Navigating, configuring, and analysing data from LMS platforms (e.g., Moodle, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle Fusion, Cornerstone).
  • Skilled at PowerPoint, Canva, Articulate, or Adobe Captivate to design engaging training materials, including slides, videos, and interactive modules.
