Overview

Senior Geologist role at WRS - Worldwide Recruitment Solutions . We are seeking a Senior Geologist to join our growing offshore asset team. This role will focus on both developed oil and gas fields as well as greenfield opportunities and near-field prospects. As a key player with a leading international oil and gas operator, you will provide strategic geological insights to drive field development and appraisal.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct high-quality geological studies to support field reviews and development plans.
  • Build and update 3D geological models to inform exploration and development decisions.
  • Present technical findings to internal and external stakeholders, including non-operating partners, PETRONAS, and service companies.
  • Provide geological input for well proposals and post-drill well reports.
  • Offer geological support during drilling operations to ensure operational success.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior geologists, fostering team development and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Geology (Master’s or PhD in a related field preferred).
  • A minimum of 10-13 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, including time spent with an operating company.
  • Expertise in all aspects of oil and gas development geology, including structural geology, stratigraphy, and sedimentology.
  • Ability to critically assess and integrate work from other disciplines, such as petrophysics, geophysics, and reservoir engineering.
  • Proven experience in geomodelling and geological software applications.
  • Hands-on experience with wellsite geological operations.
  • Seismic interpretation experience is a strong advantage.
