Job description

Job Purpose

To oversee and execute project management for assigned projects, ensuring timely delivery, compliance with contract requirements, and alignment with company standards.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage projects assigned by the management.
  • Develop project execution plans, including resource planning, team formation, and project organisation charts.
  • Provide guidance and direction to subordinates to ensure effective performance in their respective roles.
  • Manage project teams to ensure all activities are executed in compliance with contracts.
  • Oversee, plan, schedule, monitor, and track project activities to ensure completion within contract duration.
  • Liaise with technical personnel to generate and monitor project documentation, including drawings, method statements, FAT lists, and related records, ensuring proper maintenance by the Project Clerk / Admin.
  • Monitor internal documentation to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Coordinate with subordinates and inter-departments to ensure smooth execution of relevant processes.
  • Collaborate with project engineers for authority submissions and follow-ups until approvals are secured.
  • Work closely with site managers to monitor and control site progress, ensuring adherence to project timelines.
  • Coordinate with project engineers and the purchasing department to ensure timely delivery of materials, and propose alternative plans where necessary.
  • Collaborate with project engineers and the finance department to ensure timely submission and follow-up of invoices / claims to clients.
  • Review and certify suppliers' and contractors' invoices and claims.

Skills & Competencies

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent (GCQP).
  • 3–5 years of experience as a Lead Engineer, Senior Engineer, or Project Manager in Transmission & Distribution (T&D).
  • Proven track record in successfully managing large-scale electrical projects.
  • Strong knowledge of T&D systems, equipment, and industry standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • PMP certification or equivalent is an advantage.

  • Travel : Occasional travel to project sites and client meetings may be required.
  • Work Environment : Combination of office-based tasks and site visits.

    Pay : RM6, RM9,000.00 per month
