Job description

Responsibilities

Policy Development and implementation

  • Assist in development and manage implementation and maintaining HSEQ policies focusing on occupational health programs, security and plant safety in accordance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Compliance and auditing

  • Conduct regular audits and assessments for occupational health, security and plant safety to ensure compliance with OSH regulations and HSEQ standards.

    • Occupational Health Management

  • Manage occupational health programs and collaborate with Human Resource focal for programs including periodic medical check-ups, vaccinations, and wellness initiatives.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure the well-being of employees and manage workplace health-related issues.

    • Risk Assessment and management

  • Occupational Health Management - Manage industrial hygiene monitoring including periodic Chemical Health Risk Assessment, Chemical Exposure Monitoring, Local Exhaust Ventilation and Noise Risk Assessment reporting.
  • Identify and assess potential risks and hazards in the workplace related to industrial hygiene and occupational health.

    • Training and development

  • Plan and deliver HSEQ training programs to educate employees and contractors on policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Foster a culture of safety awareness, continuous learning and improvement in HSEQ matters.

    • Security Management

  • Oversee access control systems, surveillance cameras, and other physical security measures.

    • Quality Management

  • Manage audit tracking related to OSH management by providing quality assurance / data integrity review of HSEQ data and reports.

    • Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health / Environmental Management / Engineering or other related technical fields with one (1) year of working experience (preferably in the oil, gas, or petrochemical industry).
  • Possesses excellent oral and written skills in both Bahasa Malaysia and English, adapt at preparing technical documents.
  • A competency qualification or certificate in OSH Management system and a registered SHO is an added advantage.
