We are currently seeking a dedicated Regional Payroll Lead, based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to support our regional operations. This role will play a key part in ensuring smooth payroll, HR, and administrative processes across multiple countries, contributing to the efficiency and compliance of our growing international team.
Job Overview :
The Regional Payroll & C&B Benefit Lead is responsible for managing and overseeing payroll operations and compensation & benefits programs across the SEA and HK / CN. This role ensures timely, accurate, and compliant payroll processing, while also developing and administering competitive and locally compliant employee benefits programs. The Lead works closely with HR, Finance, and external vendors to deliver high-quality payroll and benefits administration that supports employee engagement, operational efficiency, and overall business objectives.
Key Responsibilities :
Payroll Management :
- Lead end-to-end payroll processing across multiple countries, ensuring compliance with local laws, tax regulations, and company policies.
- Manage payroll systems, data integrity, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Coordinate with external payroll vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve payroll issues and inquiries.
- Prepare payroll reports and ensure timely statutory filings and audits.
- Provide guidance and support to local payroll teams.
Compensation & Benefits (C&B) Management :
Develop, implement, and manage regional compensation and benefits programs aligned with business objectives and market competitiveness.Conduct regular benchmarking and salary reviews to ensure competitive pay structures.Oversee employee benefits administration, including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness programs, and other perks.Liaise with insurance providers, benefit vendors, and brokers to manage contracts and renewals.Ensure compliance with local regulations regarding employee compensation and benefits.Support communication and education efforts for employees on compensation and benefits programs.Cross-functional Collaboration & Leadership :
Partner with HR Business Partners, Finance, Legal, and external providers to ensure smooth payroll and benefits operations.Lead regional projects related to payroll system upgrades, benefits enhancements, or compliance initiatives.Provide training and development to local teams on payroll and C&B processes.Stay updated on regulatory changes and best practices in payroll and compensation & benefits management.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.Experience handling multi-country payroll is an advantage.Extensive experience (typically 5+ years) in payroll and compensation & benefits management, preferably in a regional or multi-country context.Strong knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, and employee benefits across multiple countries.Experience working with payroll and HRIS systems.Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across teams and cultures.Detail-oriented and process-driven with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
