Job descriptionDiploma or Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration or related field. More than 5 years' experience in purchasing, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Familiarity with import / export procedures and customs regulations. Proficiency in Bahasa English, Bahasa Malaysia and proficiency in Mandarin is highly preferred to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement systems (ERP-SAGE software preferred.)
Job description :
- Prepare details purchase order based on approved requisitions.
- Monitor the status of POS and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
- Collaborate with production, finance and warehouse teams to align procurement issue RFQ's to multiple suppliers for comparison, ensuring the most cost-effective and quality option is selected.
- Support new product development by sourcing innovative materials and components as needed.
- Generate and maintain accurate records of purchase orders, supplier contracts and invoices.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing and terms to achieve cost efficiency and ensure long-term supply agreements.
- Coordinate with logistics providers to ensure timely delivery of materials and components.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and relevant regulations.
- Able to manage tasks with minimal supervision and meet deadlines efficiently.
- To adhere to the company's Code of Conduct, regulations, and standard operating procedures.
