Job Description
- Data Center Design & Implementation :
Design and propose solutions for electrical, mechanical, and infrastructure systems within data centers, including power distribution, cooling systems, and rack layouts.
Collaborate with stakeholders to develop detailed design plans that meet client specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.Oversee the installation, commissioning, and testing of data center infrastructure to ensure compliance with project objectives and technical standards.Technical Support & Troubleshooting :Provide expert-level technical support for data center systems, including electrical power (UPS, PDU, generators), mechanical systems (HVAC, chillers, cooling units), and other critical infrastructure.
Diagnose and resolve complex issues related to power systems, cooling efficiency, and network connectivity to ensure optimal uptime and reliability.Develop and maintain troubleshooting guides, system documentation, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for seamless support operations.Project Management & Coordination :Lead or support project management efforts, including scope definition, timeline estimation, resource allocation, and budget control for data center infrastructure projects.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including design engineers, contractors, suppliers, and customers, to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.Conduct regular project reviews, prepare reports, and manage risks to achieve project goals.System Optimization & Continuous Improvement :Analyze data center performance metrics, including PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness), system efficiency, and cooling capacity, to identify areas for improvement.
Implement solutions to optimize electrical load, cooling systems, and space utilization for enhanced energy efficiency and reduced operational costs.Keep abreast of the latest data center technologies, best practices, and industry trends to propose innovative solutions.The Successful Applicant
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in data center solutions, including electrical and mechanical systems.Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems (UPS, PDU, switchgear) and mechanical systems (HVAC, chillers, air conditioning).Proficient in data center design tools and software for CAD or BIM modeling.Familiarity with data center standards and best practices (e.g., TIA-942, Uptime Institute, ASHRAE).Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.Strong communication and project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.Relevant certifications (e.g., CDCDP, CDCTP, PMP, BICSI) are a plus.What's on Offer
