Job Description
The Sustainable Business Team requires a senior leader to drive UOB’s sustainability strategy, stakeholder engagement and ESG thought leadership. The role will support sustainable finance initiatives, partner development and operationalisation of net‑zero commitments.
Responsibilities
- Support Group Wholesale with strategic client engagement, providing insights into sustainable finance developments and ESG impact.
- Roll out the SME Sustainability Accelerator program nationwide, defining program targets, tracking progress and collaborating with internal stakeholders and partners.
- Collaborate with the PFS team to develop UOB’s sustainability strategy aligned with Group objectives and local requirements.
- Review strategic sustainability events and recommend UOB’s participation and positioning.
- Partner with frontline units to implement sustainable finance and corporate sustainability strategies.
- Build and deepen relationships with ecosystem partners, exploring opportunities to scale credible sustainable finance programmes.
- Contribute to ESG thought leadership, staying updated on sustainable finance market practices and climate‑related standards.
- Identify and flag ESG risks during the design and execution of sustainable finance and corporate sustainability strategies.
- Support the operationalisation planning and implementation activities of UOB’s net‑zero commitments.
Qualifications
At least 15 years of experience in ESG or sustainable finance across industries.Strong understanding of sustainable finance market developments and opportunities.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proven ability to influence and motivate stakeholders.Self‑motivated, strong interpersonal skills, and ability to work independently.EEO Statement
