Job descriptionOversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, storing, picking, packing, order fulfillment, and dispatching goods. Ensure the warehouse layout is optimized for efficiency and safety. Implement and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for warehouse and fulfillment activities at distribution centers. Develop and execute inventory control systems to maintain stock accuracy and minimize discrepancies. Conduct monthly stock take and reconcile variances regularly. Ensure inventory levels meet business demands while avoiding overstock or stockouts. Manage the operations of the distribution centers, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to stores without any delay. Coordinate with transport providers to ensure efficient and cost-effective logistics solutions. Monitor and track delivery performance, addressing any delays or issues promptly. Oversee the fulfilment process to ensure accurate and timely order delivery. Collaborate with procurement to align warehouse and logistics activities with overall business objectives. Plan and schedule deliveries and pickups to optimize routes and minimize transportation costs. Monitor warehouse and logistics staff to enhance productivity and morale. Set clear performance objectives and conduct regular performance reviews. Foster a culture of teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies. Prepare and present reports on key performance indicators (KPIs), including inventory levels, delivery performance, and cost efficiency. Stay updated on industry trends and implement best practices in warehouse and logistics management. Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Proven experience in warehouse and logistics management, preferably in a retail or FMCG environment. Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) or related software. Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Leadership and team management capabilities. Familiarity with distribution center operations and transportation regulations.
