About the role

As the Head of Section, IT, you will be responsible for leading and managing the IT team at Hyundai Motor Malaysia. This is a full‑time position based in Tun Razak Exchange, Kuala Lumpur. In this strategic role, you will drive the implementation and delivery of IT solutions to support the overall business objectives of the organisation.

What you’ll be doing

  • Provide leadership and direction to the IT team, ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of IT infra, network services, business system application projects and helpdesk.
  • Develop and implement IT strategies, policies, and procedures to align with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Manage the IT budget, resource allocation, and performance of the team.
  • Identify and oversee the implementation of new technologies and systems to improve business operations.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to understand and address their IT requirements.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of IT systems and services, and implement continuous improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the IT team.

What we’re looking for

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in IT management or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of programme and project management principles.
  • Proven track record in leading and managing an IT team.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficient in IT system architecture, implementation, and optimization.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards in the Information & Communication Technology sector.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
