Job Description
The Maintenance / Facility Engineer is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, reliability, and efficiency of all facilities, machinery, and utilities within the company. This role involves planning and executing preventive maintenance schedules, troubleshooting equipment breakdowns, and coordinating repair works to minimize production downtime.
The engineer also plays a vital role in facility management, including building maintenance, electrical and mechanical systems, HVAC, compressed air, water supply, and fire protection systems. He or she must ensure that all facilities comply with safety, health, and environmental regulations. In addition, the Maintenance / Facility Engineer will develop long-term improvement plans, propose upgrades or replacement of aging equipment, and manage contractors or service providers engaged for specialized works.
This position requires close collaboration with the production, quality, and safety teams to ensure that operations are not disrupted and all technical issues are resolved promptly. Strong documentation skills are essential, as the engineer must maintain accurate maintenance records, equipment manuals, spare part inventories, and regulatory compliance reports.
