We are currently seeking a Cost Control Engineer to join our team based in Kuala Lumpur. Successful candidates will be offered a fixed-term employment.

About the mission we offer you :

Responsible to establish the first project budget / forecast based on handover bid from Proposal / Estimating Department

Responsible for updates of changes to the forecast based on inputs from project management and other project team members as applicable

Responsible for monthly Project Cost Report and Project Management Report

Preparation of monthly invoices to Client and follow up works (including reimbursable items)

Evaluate the economic impact of changes / variations in scope of work

Perform economical analysis, forecasts, deviations reports etc

Update cash forecast

Support identification of Threats and Opportunities and mitigation plan

Increase other Departments’ awareness of the Cost Control function

Review of commitments

Assist procurement on invoices from Subcontractors / Suppliers

Main Accountabilities :

Develop reporting requirements

Manpower forecasting

Construction / Procurement forecasting

Budget transfer and variation order register

Budget variance formalization

Cost sensitivities analysis

Cash Flow

Reporting requirements

About you :

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent

5+ years of experience in related field

Professional English

Knowledge of cost control tools and methodologies

Solid analytical and problem solving skills

Must work collaboratively with all members of the PMT and other Departments within the Company

Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently; adaptable to change and a fast-paced environment

Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to meet deadlines
