Job description

Responsible for the deliver, collection and storage of all guests' luggages.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To report for duty punctually in complete uniform with well grooming and name tags to be worn at all times.
  • To provide all guests with a courteous and professional service at all times.
  • To be updated constantly on in-house informations, activities, facilities and promotions within the hotel.
  • To maintain a high standard personal appearance and hygiene while on duty.
  • To meet all arriving guests, ensuring that their needs are satisfied, and that their luggages are sent to their rooms without delay.
  • To provide a continual coverage of the main entrance and lobby and to greet all hotel guests.
  • Responsible for the collection of all key cards from departing guests.
  • Responsible for putting up the function events for the following day on the event board during the overnight shift.
  • Maintain a detailed record of luggage movements that are being handled by Bell Service during check-in and check-out.
  • Responsible for the delivery of messages, faxes, mail, parcels, etc to guest rooms.
  • Assist in keeping the hotel's driveway and main entrance clean and free of traffic.
  • To arrange for taxis when requires by guests.
  • To drive the hotel guests / staff to their derived destination by using the hotel van and to keep the hotel van in good condition at all the times.
  • To be always on the look-out on the general cleanliness of the lobby area(i.e. emptying ash-trays, picking up of litters, etc)
  • To be the "eyes and ears" of the hotel and report any unusual happenings and suspicious guests to the Bell Captain or Assistant Manager on duty.
  • To be acquainted with the checking-in and checking-out procedures.
  • To be familiar with general layout of all guestrooms and to be able to show and explain the room facilities to guests.
  • Responsible for the delivery of the morning newspapers to the guestrooms.
  • To maintain a good working relationship with your colleague and staff of all other departments.
  • To have a complete understanding of the hotel's Employee Handbook and adhere to the regulations contained within.
  • To be fully conversant with hotel' services and facilities.
  • To be fully conversant with all aspects of the city and it attractions.
  • To have a complete understanding of the hotel's policy relating to Fire, Hygiene, Health and Safety.
