Job descriptionDiploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Food Science, or related field. Minimum 2–3 years of procurement experience, preferably in the frozen food or FMCG industry. Knowledge of food safety standards, cold chain logistics, and supplier compliance requirements. Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines. Proficient in procurement systems.
Key Responsibilities :
- Source and evaluate suppliers for raw materials, frozen food ingredients, and packaging materials.
- Negotiate prices, terms, and contracts with vendors to ensure cost-effective procurement.
- Coordinate with production, quality control, and warehouse teams to forecast and plan material requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels to avoid overstocking or stockouts, and initiate timely replenishment.
- Ensure all purchased materials comply with food safety standards and regulatory requirements (e.g. HACCP, Halal, GMP).
- Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships and resolve any supply issues or disputes.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, delivery, and supplier performance.
- Prepare regular procurement reports, cost analyses, and market trend updates.
- Participate in audits and assist in documentation related to procurement for compliance purposes.
- Continuously identify opportunities to reduce costs, improve quality, and streamline procurement processes.
