Requirements

Able to work 6 days a week (rotational shifts including weekends and public holidays)
Able to speak and understand both English and Bahasa Malaysia
Minimum SPM or equivalent qualification
Prior retail or customer service experience is an advantage (training provided)
Basic problem-solving skills and willingness to learn machine operations
Friendly, responsible, and team-oriented attitude
Interest in Japanese toys, anime, or pop culture is a bonus

Responsibilities

GBO (Gashapon Bandai Official) is the official concept store for Bandai’s Gashapon capsule toys in Malaysia, bringing authentic Japanese collectible toy experiences to fans of all ages. Our 1 Utama outlet offers an exciting environment for those passionate about toys, anime, and retail.

Retail Operations & Customer Service

Greet and assist customers with enthusiasm and professionalism

Provide product knowledge and explain gashapon series and machine usage

Operate POS system for sales and handle cash / card transactions accurately

Ensure the store is clean, well-organized, and fully stocked

Arrange and replenish merchandise displays as per visual guidelines

Machine Maintenance & Audit Duties

Perform daily checks and restocking of gashapon machines

Report and support minor troubleshooting of machine issues

Conduct regular audits of machine capsule inventory to ensure accuracy

Maintain machine cleanliness and functionality, reporting technical issues to support when needed

General Responsibilities

Assist with incoming stock deliveries and inventory updates

Support marketing promotions and in-store campaigns when required

Follow store policies, safety standards, and operational procedures
