Albert Wines & Spirits is a leading distributor of premium wines and spirits in Malaysia, supplying restaurants, hotels, retailers, cafés, and lifestyle venues. As part of our nationwide expansion, we are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to oversee and grow our markets in Penang & Ipoh – two of the strongest F&B hubs outside Klang Valley.
Position Overview
The Business Development Manager will take ownership of sales performance in Penang and Ipoh. You will grow market presence, strengthen relationships with key accounts, lead trade activations, and ensure consistent revenue growth across On-Trade and Off-Trade segments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead market expansion and grow sales across Penang & Ipoh.
- Build and manage key client portfolios, including restaurants, hotels, bars, retailers, and specialty stores.
- Identify high‑potential accounts and secure new listings for wines, beers, and spirits.
- Conduct regular client visits, presentations, tastings, and relationship‑building activities.
- Coordinate with HQ (sales support, logistics, finance, marketing) to ensure smooth order fulfilment and collections.
- Execute brand activations, seasonal promotions, and local marketing initiatives.
- Monitor competitor activity, market trends, and consumer behaviour.
- Prepare weekly progress updates and monthly performance reports.
- Ensure monthly revenue targets are achieved for both regions.
Requirements
3–5 years of experience in FMCG, beverage, or F&B sales.Experience in the beer industry is a major plus.Proven experience in territory management and key account development.Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills.Able to work independently with minimal supervision.Familiarity with Penang and Ipoh F&B landscapes is a strong advantage.Own transport required; willing to travel within the region.Passion for wines, spirits, and lifestyle brands.Why Join Us
