Job description

Requirements

  • Must possess Diploma in Interior Design or a realted field. (minimum)
  • At least 1–2 years of working experience in interior design (Fresh grads are welcome to apply)
  • Able to speak in English and Bahasa Malaysia
  • Proven working experience in decorating interior spaces (consultations, renovations, space planning and new constructions)
  • A compelling portfolio demonstrating your creative talent and design aesthetic.
  • Expertise in layout, colour, lighting, materials selection, custom furniture and all installations.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D Max, Illustrator, Coohom, V-Ray or other design programs
  • Creative talent, imagination and eye for design
  • Communication and presentation skills
  • Able to multitask and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
  • Project management skills
  • Responsible, creative, and detail-oriented
  • Willing to travel or work on-site when required
  • Own transport is highly encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

  • Undertake design project from concept to completion
  • Define project requirements and schedule during the “brief”
  • Develop design concepts based on client needs and preferences
  • Set costs and project fees according to budget
  • Research and decide on materials and products sourcing
  • Prepare layout drawings, 3D visuals, mood boards, and material selections
  • Conduct site visits, measure site dimensions, and monitor site progress
  • Work closely with designers, contractors, and project teams to ensure smooth project flow
  • Research and follow industry changes, evolutions and best practices
  • Ensure all design work complies with industry standards and client requirements
