About the role

As an Account Executive at Total Control Sdn. Bhd., you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive bookkeeping and accounting services to our diverse client base. This full-time position is based in UEP Subang Jaya, Selangor, and offers the opportunity to work closely with small businesses and entrepreneurs to help them achieve their financial goals.

What you'll be doing

  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records for clients, including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger management
  • Preparing and filing tax returns, VAT, and other regulatory documents on behalf of clients
  • Providing financial analysis and reporting to help clients understand their financial position and make informed business decisions
  • Communicating effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions
  • Collaborating with the wider team to ensure a seamless and efficient service delivery
  • Staying up-to-date with changes in accounting regulations and best practices

What we're looking for

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role, preferably within a small practice or with small business clients
  • Strong proficiency in accounting software such as SQL, QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with clients
  • A proactive and problem-solving mindset to identify opportunities and provide valuable insights
  • A recognised accounting qualification, such as ACCA or ICAEW, or working towards one
