The Service Parts planning team at Lam Research is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Service Parts Planner with 4–6 years of experience in service parts planning, preferably within the wafer fabrication equipment manufacturing industry. The impact you’ll make as a service parts planner includes ensuring optimal inventory levels, timely availability of service parts, and alignment with customer service goals. This role requires strong analytical skills, cross-functional collaboration, and a solid understanding of supply chain planning tools and processes. Responsibilities : Plan and manage assigned service parts portfolio to meet customer demand while minimizing excess and obsolescence. Analyze historical usage, forecast demand, and adjust planning parameters accordingly. Collaborate with supply chain, logistics, and service operations teams to ensure timely replenishment. Work with supply chain in monitoring supplier performance and lead times to mitigate risks and delays. Maintain planning data accuracy in ERP and planning systems (e.g., SAP, SPM). Generate and present reports on inventory health, fill rates, and planning KPIs. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning efficiency and accuracy. Requirements : 4–6 years of experience in service parts planning, preferably in wafer fab equipment manufacturing. Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field. Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and planning tools (e.g., Kinaxis, SPM etc). Strong proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.) and data analysis. Solid understanding of demand forecasting, safety stock calculation, and inventory optimization. Proven ability and skill set to analyze, document and improve business processes with sustained results. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to communicate cross-functionally.
