A leading oil and gas operator is seeking a Senior Reservoir Engineer to maximise asset value across a portfolio of onshore and offshore fields. The role involves leading reservoir evaluation, production forecasting, reserves management, and field development planning. The successful candidate will integrate geological, geophysical, drilling, production, and commercial data to optimise reservoir performance and support strategic decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, update, and maintain dynamic reservoir simulation models for field development and production optimisation
- Conduct material balance analysis, decline curve analysis, and pressure-transient interpretation
- Integrate multidisciplinary data to refine reservoir understanding and quantify uncertainties
Field Development & Optimisation
Develop and evaluate depletion plans, secondary / tertiary recovery strategies, and well placement recommendationsAssess performance of existing wells and reservoirs, and propose production improvement initiatives (e.g., ESP optimisation, stimulation, workovers)Support appraisal drilling programs, well planning, and execution reviews to optimise reservoir outcomesReserves Management
Prepare annual reserves estimates in line with corporate and SPE-PRMS standardsLead reserves audits and provide technical justification to internal and external stakeholdersTechnical Studies & Economic Evaluation
Conduct scenario modelling and sensitivity analyses to support investment decisionsCollaborate with Petroleum Economics teams to evaluate development concepts and project economicsPrepare technical reports, presentations, and recommendations for senior managementOperational Support & Integration
Provide real-time reservoir engineering support to production operationsParticipate in integrated asset teams, contributing to short- and long-term planningMentor junior engineers and contribute to capability development within the subsurface groupQualifications & Experience
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Reservoir Engineering, or related disciplineTypically 10-15+ years of progressive reservoir engineering experience in the oil and gas industryStrong proficiency in reservoir simulation tools (e.g., Eclipse, CMG, tNavigator), PTA software, and analytical toolsDemonstrated experience in field development planning, reserves estimation, and production optimisationExposure to EOR / IOR projects, offshore operations, or complex reservoirs (e.g., fractured carbonates, deepwater) is an advantageStrong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills with experience in multidisciplinary teams#J-18808-Ljbffr
