Responsibilities

• Assess entity‑level risk during audit planning and identify key IT elements relevant to financial reporting.
• Obtain an understanding of the entity’s IT environment and evaluate complex business processes.
• Identify the key IT application controls within business processes.
• Evaluate the design and implementation of general IT controls and application controls (ITAC).
• Test the operating effectiveness of general IT controls and application controls.
• Provide improvement points relating to the ITAC to the audit engagement team.
• Give periodic, timely status updates for the IT audit manager.
• Identify and communicate IT audit findings to clients and recommend performance improvement opportunities.
