Lead and supervise housekeeping staff to ensure cleanliness and hygienic conditions of required areas are achieved. Ensure all proper protocols, policies and procedures are adhered to.
Supervise and coordinate all housekeeping activities.
Supervise and control delivery and receiving of hospital linen.
Prepare monthly housekeeping roster.
Plan and coordinate daily manpower utilization.
Control and monitor the usage of housekeeping chemicals.
Indent housekeeping chemical and related accessories as required to carry out routine housekeeping jobs.
Supervise collection and disposal of clinical waste.
Prepare and implement a routine maintenance schedule.
Carry out routine inspection of the work performed by the housekeeping aide. Supervise high dusting, spring cleaning of walls, buffing and waxing of floors.
Educate and train the housekeeping aide on the proper usage of chemicals, housekeeping techniques and related activities.
Attend and participate in related meetings and QA programs.
Take necessary steps to improve housekeeping activities.
Keep all necessary records in an organized manner.
Supervise gardener job performance.
Schedule pest control services.
Liaise with outsource vendors (laundry, pest control, clinical waste and general waste) to ensure no service interruptions and that services are received as required.
Prepare and send DOE notes for clinical waste generated on a monthly basis.
Monitor and confirm staff competency and performance.
Carry out other duties as assigned or requested.
Education and Requirements
Diploma / Certificate in Hotel Management / Housekeeping or related field.
Supervisory housekeeping background for at least 5 years.
Cleaning services experience.
Write and speak in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
