Overview

RBC Investor & Treasury Services Malaysia is a processing centre of operational excellence supporting 10 countries across three geographical time zones. The Malaysia hub supports Custody - Transaction Management; Settlements; NAV Production; Fund Reporting; Shareholder Services; Global Fund Platform Services; Data Service Delivery; Entitlements – income and corporate actions and Reconciliations. The country operates a Global Operating Model to maximise efficiencies across time zones and supports a 24 / 5 operation. Objectives are to enhance scalability of global operations, improve service quality via centres of excellence, and implement / leverage standard processes globally.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for day-to-day processing of reconciliations including Asset and Cash accounts via TLM to ensure positions between the ledger and relevant custodians agree.
  • Act as a control function; minimize breaks on reconciliation and conduct adequate investigations with root-cause analysis to drive reduction of breaks.
  • Deliver services to external and internal clients with high quality and efficiency, fostering a client-first mindset.
  • Review and clearance of daily cash and stock reconciliations via TLM.
  • Investigate and assign cash and asset breaks to the appropriate departments.
  • Respond to email queries in a timely manner.
  • Produce and maintain required periodic reporting to support client and business needs.
  • Produce and maintain statistical information for internal and client distribution.

Working hours

3pm-12am / 4pm-1am, Region : Europe.

Qualifications

  • Must-have : Banking operations / back-office experience; strong reconciliations knowledge; experience in Custody / Shareholder services; understanding of Entitlements, Cash Management, Transaction Management, Settlements, Fund Accounting.
  • Nice-to-have : Proficiency in MS Office applications.
