Job Description

Job Summary

1.1 Overall responsibility for technical topics in the product and / or platform development project, covering the entire system (including alignment with upper systems, e.g., IoT).

1.2 Create and evaluate design alternatives with domain experts, and align decisions with stakeholders.

1.3 Responsible for BES-PE in the project.

Job Scope

2.1 Align CRS / SRS with stakeholders, consolidate cross-domain SoA technology to holistically conclude and propose on technical feasibility and the FAM.

2.2 Create engineering concepts and system architectures. Deploy system requirements into subsystems through ongoing alignment with domain engineers.

Ensure intellectual property protection by timely filing of invention reports before involving third parties.

Represent the engineering team in product / platform development teams, handling all engineering-related questions.

Expand & maintain system design solutions, drivetrains, and tool components. Serve as the first contact for product owners or project managers regarding technical questions and design.

Coordinate with the industrial design team regarding components and technical issues.

Ensure all components fit within the industrial design and align UX features such as HMI and app functionalities.

2.3 Drive technical solution iterations according to customer requirements, coordinating with domain engineers and project team members.

Develop verification plans with testing experts at all system levels, including IoT and lower-level components.

Coordinate with supporting functions, project team members, domain engineers, and suppliers to iterate technical solutions aligned with customer needs.

2.4 Finalize design and achieve the required BES-PE maturity level, consolidating technical files and documentation.

Maintain technical files with domain engineers, including drawings, BOM, FMEA, and risk assessments.

Follow all processes according to PT and Bosch procedures published in BGN.

2.5 Coach junior engineering team members.

2.6 Support line and warranty teams in technical quality problem solving.

2.7 Assist the Product Technical Champion in market technology benchmarking.

2.8 Support and undertake additional tasks as assigned by superiors.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering or related field.

Experience in new product development processes and tools.

Design experience for consumer goods, household appliances, automotive, or industrial applications.

System engineering experience, especially with complex systems involving smart electronics and cross-domain deployment.

Exposure to manufacturing processes for plastic and metal parts; knowledge of PCBA and motor manufacturing is a plus.

Experience in patent searching and filing.

Proficiency in working with international project teams using English.

Ability to translate technical requirements into designs systematically.

Understanding technical cause-effect relationships.

Strong skills and expertise in the relevant field.

Ability to simplify technical topics for cross-domain communication.

Successful completion of BES-PE training.

Experience with Creo CAD, GIS, ANDI systems, and relevant software tools like Codebeamer.
