Lead Structural Engineer - Offshore Platforms

Location : Kuala Lumpur / Site (as required)

Employment Type : 2-Year Contract

Overview :

Lead all structural engineering activities for offshore topsides, jackets, and modules, ensuring technical integrity, constructability, and compliance with standards.

Key Responsibilities :

Lead structural engineering team throughout all project phases
Develop and maintain structural design basis, philosophies, and documentation
Review and perform structural analyses using SACS, STAAD.Pro, SESAM, or equivalent
Review and approve structural drawings, material take-offs, and construction specifications
Coordinate with multi-discipline teams for integrated solutions
Provide guidance to fabrication, procurement, and construction teams
Participate in design reviews, HAZIDs, constructability assessments, and risk evaluations
Mentor junior engineers

Qualifications & Experience :

Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred)

15-18 years' experience in structural engineering, with 8+ years offshore

Strong expertise in offshore structural design and foundation engineering

Proficient in SACS, STAAD.Pro, SESAM, or equivalent

Knowledge of API RP 2A, ISO 19902, DNV, AISC, AWS standards

Proven leadership of structural teams on large EPC or EPCI projects

Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills
