Possess at least Certificate / Diploma in Civil / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

Experience

Fresh graduates or minimum of 1 year experience in soil investigation

Basic knowledge of geotechnical testing procedures and equipment’s

A fundamental understanding in ISO17025 is an advantage

Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities

Perform onshore soil sample testing in accordance with the client’s and standard specifications.

Liaise and coordinate with geotechnical engineer during the laboratory operation to ensure smooth and safe operation.

Assist Senior Lab Tech and Lab Engineer for quality control of soil sampling, laboratory testing operation and as well.

Prepare, compile and record data accurately, such as soil descriptions, field laboratory test data and plot results.

Arranging sample storage, handling and logistics from both vessel and laboratory.

Conduct regular service, in-house calibration, maintenance and inventory updates, as well as utilize PMS documents, which to ensure readiness of good working conditions for laboratory and in-situ testing equipment as well as spare parts.

Assist with the development and implementation of new testing methods, procedures and protocols to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Participate in training and competency programs arranged by laboratory management.
