Executive / Senior Executive, Casualty & Financial Lines Underwriting
Main Responsibility
- Underwrite all classes of Casualty / Financial Lines of business within the given underwriting authority limits, guidelines, monitor all the technical underwriting processes and acceptance of Casualty / Financial Lines of business.
- Providing underwriting assistance to the marketing and business units relating to Casualty / Financial Lines of business.
- Assist to execute strategies to grow the targeted business towards the projected growth by collaborating with business units.
- Ensure strict compliance to Regional / Local Guidelines, External Guidelines and Treaty Protection in force at all times
- Assist to provide statistic on Casualty / Financial Lines of business to the Head of Casualty and Financial Lines to perform the regular analysis of business portfolio and act where necessary to ensure the profitability is maintained at the desired level.
- Ensure excellent customer service is always extended to internal and external customers within the set of service standards.
- Assisting the Head of Casualty and Financial Lines to prepare the technical infrastructure such as policy wordings, clauses, and endorsements are in line with market practice and at the same time meeting the Generali Group, regional aspiration and direction.
- Assisting the Head of Casualty and Financial Lines to organize / provide Technical Training to team members, business team as well as intermediaries.
- Close monitoring of Casualty / Financial Lines portfolio performance and if necessary to highlight any potential adverse claims trend and to take necessary underwriting mitigating action during the risk assessment process.
- Undertake other responsibilities or projects as assigned.
Qualification and Experience Requirement
Degree in Accounting, Economics, Management, Investment, Finance, Law, Business Administration, Or Relevant CertificationPreferably Tertiary qualification in insurance related such as AMII / CII / CMII / DMCII or equivalent insurance qualificationFresh graduates are encouraged to applyIntermediate to advance level of computer operating and Microsoft Word / ExcelProficient in English and possess good communication skills – written and oralBasic underwriting knowledge of general insurance is an added advantageHas good analytical, financial analysis and problem-solving skills.#J-18808-Ljbffr
