Accounts and Tax Senior – Kuala Lumpur

This Accounts and Tax Senior role in Kuala Lumpur will suit a nearly qualified or newly qualified accountant with experience preparing financial statements under MPERS or MFRS, as well as experience in Malaysian corporate and individual taxation.

Description

As an Accounts and Tax Senior, your responsibilities will include :

  • Preparing and reviewing financial statements in compliance with MPERS and MFRS.
  • Preparing management accounts for clients across various industries.
  • Managing tax compliance, including corporate tax, personal income tax, and others.
  • Assisting in planning and advisory services related to tax efficiency and business structuring.
  • Supervising and mentoring junior team members.
  • Ensuring compliance with Companies Act 2016, Income Tax Act 1967, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Liaising with clients to provide timely updates and address queries.
  • Supporting the team in identifying opportunities for process improvements.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to ensure seamless service delivery.

Profile

The successful candidate will have :

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
  • Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, or equivalent is an advantage.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience.
  • Strong experience in accounting and taxation within professional services.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Confidence in dealing with clients and stakeholders.
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset with the ability to meet deadlines.
