Responsibilities
- Lead the Finance Team to deliver accurate, timely, and reliable financial reports, analyses, and insights that support informed decision‑making by management.
- Ensure adherence to accounting standards, company policies, and statutory requirements.
- Oversee year‑end statutory audits, internal audits, and the timely submission of financial statements in accordance with regulatory and Board requirements.
- Manage tax planning, compliance, and reporting to ensure adherence to tax laws and regulations.
- Provide timely, data‑driven insights and recommendations to support management in enhancing organisational performance, financial sustainability, and resource allocation.
- Proactively identify and mitigate financial risks to safeguard company assets.
- Monitor ongoing compliance with evolving accounting and regulatory requirements.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Finance teams to foster professionalism, capability, and accountability, ensuring effective succession planning and business continuity.
- Support internal stakeholders by providing guidance on accounting and tax‑related matters, ensuring alignment with current regulations and company policies.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and lead implementation of new technologies or systems.
- Collaborate on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Manage and review business agreements from a financial compliance and risk perspective.
- Attend to any ad‑hoc tasks or assist in any other reports requested by the immediate superior from time to time.
Job Requirements
Experience : Minimum of eight (8) years of accounting or finance experience with at least five (5) years of working experience in a relevant position.Knowledge : Strong understanding of MFRS / IFRS and statutory financial statements requirements.Technical Skills : Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and Oracle.Analytical Skills : Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.Work Ethic : Self‑driven and independent with a strong sense of commitment, able to deliver under tight deadlines.Attitude : Possesses a positive working attitude, is independent and a strong team player.Communication Skills : Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Language Proficiency : Proficient in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin.Availability : Able to start work within a short period.Education Requirements
Candidate must possess at least a degree in Accounting, Finance and be an internationally qualified accountant with a professional certificate such as MIA, ACCA, CPA etc.Pay range and compensation package : Salary and compensation details will be discussed during the interview process.
